Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Barnola. Venues may set a higher entry age (for example 21+); it is your responsibility to meet each venue’s requirements and to carry valid ID.

2. Your account

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us straight away if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
• One person per account. You may not sell or transfer your account.

3. What Barnola is — and is not

Barnola is an information and discovery platform. Venues provide and update their own information, including crowd levels, hours, events and promotions. Crowd levels are estimates provided by venues and may not be accurate at every moment.

Barnola does not own or operate any venue, does not sell alcohol, tickets or reservations, and does not guarantee entry, availability, prices or the accuracy of venue information. Your visit to a venue is between you and that venue.

4. Responsible use

Barnola does not encourage excessive or underage drinking. Always drink responsibly, follow local laws, and never drink and drive.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful or fraudulent.
• Post false, misleading, offensive or infringing content.
• Harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
• Scrape, copy, reverse engineer or interfere with the Service or its security.
• Create accounts by automated means or under false pretenses.

6. Venue accounts and subscriptions

• Venue owners must have authority to represent the venue and must keep its information accurate and lawful.
• Every venue and promotion is reviewed before it goes live. We may decline, suspend or remove listings that break these Terms.
• Paid plans are billed through Stripe. A free trial, where offered, starts only after your venue is approved.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with advance notice.
• Venues are responsible for their promotions complying with all applicable laws, including alcohol advertising rules.

7. Content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of content you submit (such as venue photos). You give Barnola a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute that content to operate and promote the Service. Barnola, its logo and the app are owned by us and may not be used without permission.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Barnola and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or put other people at risk.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barnola is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for anything that happens at a venue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you paid nothing.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Barnola after that means you accept the updated Terms.
