Nightlife, without the guesswork.
We’re building the app we always wanted on a night out: one place that tells you where the night is actually happening.
Our story
Why we’re building Barnola.
Everyone has been there. You pick a place from a review that’s two years old, take a ride across town, and walk into an empty room. Or you get there and the line is around the block.
Nightlife changes by the hour, but the tools people use to plan it don’t. Reviews and listings tell you what a place was like, not what it is like tonight.
Barnola fixes that by going straight to the source. Venues share their live crowd level, their events and their specials, and guests see it all on one map, in real time.
Our mission
Help people find the right place, right now, and help great venues fill the room.
What we believe
The principles behind the app.
Real time, or not at all
If it isn’t current, it isn’t useful. Everything in Barnola is built around what’s happening now.
Honest information
Every venue is reviewed before it goes live, and crowd levels come from the venues themselves.
Built with venues
Bars and clubs are our partners. We give them simple tools that work during a busy shift.
Respect for guests
Free to use, private by default, and no selling of personal data.
